Simultaneous interpreting

This is used when the person requiring interpretation is not directly participating in the communication process. The interpreter starts rendering the speech in the target language without waiting for the speaker to finish the speech in the source language. This in turn is of two kinds:

on headphones: best suited for conferences, congresses and seminars, where technical equipment (microphones and headphones for participants and special booths for interpreters) is needed. Our translation office can provide the technical equipment needed for events on request;
whispering type (chouchotage - by ear): the interpretation is done for one person and no other technical equipment is needed.

Consecutive interpreting

This is a method that allows the presenter or interlocutor to speak for a short period of time, usually less than a minute, after which the interpreter translates the information into the target language. This type of interpreting is suitable for small groups, business meetings, tourist guides, in front of the registrar, in the presence of criminal investigation bodies, at the notary's office, etc

Also, due to rapid technological developments, another type of interpreting has become necessary, namely interpreting during videoconferences or conference calls. This is usually used by business people and companies that have working relationships with external partners.
