Legalised translations
Only certified translations can be legalised by a notary public, thus becoming legalised translations, which contain the certification of a notary public.
Basically, a legalised translation is the certification by a notary public of the authenticity of the sworn translator's signature and stamp and the possession by the translator of a translation license recognised by the Ministry of Justice.
Documents for which legalisation of the translation is required must be presented in original.
Fortunately for you, for translations that require this procedure, our translation office can provide the legalisation of the certified translationfor you, by picking up and delivering it directly to your office/residence.
In the case of urgent translations, you should also take into account the relatively short opening hours (10:00 - 16:00) of most Notary Offices.
At the same time, our translation office can also support you with the super-legalisation / apostille of documents.
The documents that must be super-legalised are those official documents translated by a translator authorized by the Ministry of Justice and legalised by a notary public, which do not produce legal effects on the territory of another state that is not part of The Hague Convention, without going through the super-legalization procedure by law.
This procedure prevents the falsification of documents and involves super-legalisation by the Ministry of Justice, and then by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, finally, by the diplomatic mission of the respective state in Romania.

Our team includes sworn translators authorized by the Ministry of Justice, specialized across various fields. This ensures that our translations accurately reflect the original information using precise, specialized language.
We work closely with notary offices in Sector 6, enabling us to quickly legalize documents. Additionally, we offer apostille and supralegalization services when necessary, along with free consultancy to help you avoid unnecessary costs.
Simple translations are those translations that do not have the stamp and signature of a translator authorised by the Ministry of Justice.
There is no difference in quality between these translations, between certified and legalised translations, but only a simpler form of them. They are often carried out by translators authorised by the Ministry of Justice, and for this reason there is no major difference in price between a simple translation and an certified translation, the additional cost being only due to the need to print the translations and the time required to sign and stamp them in the latter case.
Certified translations are translations made by a translator authorised by the Ministry of Justice and bear its stamp and signature.
Translations may become certified even if they have not been made by a sworn translator, when the document in question has also been checked and revised by a sworn translator, who certifies the translation by signing and stamping it.
By signing and stamping the translation, the sworn translator confirms that the translation is correct and complete, and that the content of the document has not been altered or the meaning of certain words or phrases changed.
Certified translations are accepted, without the need for legalisation, in most European countries. However, in order to avoid unpleasant surprises, please bear in mind that you should check whether there are mutual recognition agreements between Romania and the country in question.
