Translations for Tenders
If you participate in public tenders, the tender and its documents must be submitted in the language of the country concerned. This also applies if the contracting authority is based in Romania. When documents are drawn up in a language other than Romanian, they must be accompanied by an authorised translation. Thus, foreign companies or companies with foreign capital must initially use the services of a translation agency for the translation of the specifications and other documents that make up the tender documents, and subsequently for the translation of the tender to be submitted.
At the same time, local companies may also have to use the services of a translation agency when, for example, they submit technical data sheets for products which are, especially in the IT sector, written in English.
In the above cases there are two major risks:
- the documentation/offer must be translated in a very limited time, in order for the economic operator to meet the deadline for submission of offers;
- the translation must be of a very high quality, in order not to mislead the economic operator and to enable him to submit a tender which fully meets the requirements of the contracting authority.
In order to combat the risks outlined above, our translation office has created a team of translators specialised in technical translations, capable of delivering accurate translations in many fields of activity. In addition, given the importance of delivering translations on time, the client is assigned a project manager who will ensure the distribution of documents, the uniform use of specific terminology, the legalisation of documents, if requested by the contracting authorities, and the delivery of translations in electronic / original format.
